Rev. Hardies spoke at a Washington, D.C. city council hearing in favor of the amendment to grant marriage rights to the GLBT community. Rev. Hardies represented All Souls Church, Unitarian, Clergy United for Marriage Equality, and the GLBT community. On December 15 the council voted 11-2 to pass the amendment.
