Neighbors In Need began six years ago as a ministry of Trinity Lutheran
Church. Now it is a partnership of five churches including EUUC. Saturday
breakfasts are served, and shower vouchers and haircuts are provided.
Donated clothing is available and food assistance is given through the Edmonds
Food Bank with extra food given to the homeless. About 125 people are served
each week.
Cold weather shelter in the winter is provided for the local homeless at Trinity and seven partner churches (including EUUC). The churches serve dinner, breakfast, and a bag lunch. Bus tickets had previously been provided but have recently been discontinued due to the lack of funds.
This partnership is dependent on the donations of the partner congregations and the food bank. For more information contact Merrie Emmons or Mary Freundlich.
