UUSC addresses the issues of globalization and privatization, with a focus on defending workers' rights and supporting living wage campaigns. Supporting Fair Trade practices in the global economy is imperative.

UUSC's primary focus in this area is promoting and defending the human right to clean water, especially in communities facing water‐service privatization and resource depletion.

Rights in Humanitarian Crises

The Rights in Humanitarian Crises unit works to defend the rights of marginalized groups to relief assistance, participation in reconstruction, and full recovery.

Gulf Coast Advocacy — to assist in the recovery for the people of the Gulf Coast
