To Honor Labor Day

We have all labored.  We have all had jobs to complete, schedules to meet, bosses to please, and goals by which we measure and have been measured.  Third Place Books has this credo on their bookmarks: “. . . to live a rewarding life, each of us needs three places.”  They go on to describe these places as home, a workplace, and a place of communal sharing.  Today, from among these three, we will intentionally honor Labor.  We do so with histories, songs, poetry, and respect.
