Sermon Summary
The Religious Right portrays the U.S. as a Christian nation and George Washington "the indispensable man" in founding our country as a Christian. They do this in order to justify pushing through their agenda of religious intolerance and bigotry.
Our founding fathers were very afraid of religion taking over government. That is why the First Amendment to the constitution, approved during Washington's first administration, is vital to us all. We must arm ourselves to defeat the Religious Right. The purpose of my presentation is to help us do so.
