Reasons for Configuring Email Applications
Why would I configure an email application?
Most email applications, such as Outlook, Thunderbird, and Hotmail, can be set up to receive, send, and save emails from your euuc.org account. This means that as you handle your personal emails, you can easily do your church emails. If you don't set up your email application to handle your euuc.org messages, you can log into SquirrelMail to send and receive church emails.
Examples of email applications are Thunderbird, Outlook, Mac Mail, Windows Mail, Gmail, Hotmail, MSN Mail, Frontier Mail, Yahoo Mail, and Comcast Mail.
Which applications don't let me access church mail?
The online Yahoo, Comcast, and AOL mailboxes do not let you access emails from accounts other than your own. Most people with accounts from those companies, use a different application to access their emails, and those applications allow them to send and receive euuc.org emails.
By using an application rather than the Comcast, AOL, or Yahoo website, people gain the added benefit of eliminating the annoying moving ads in the margins. For instance, if you use Windows Mail, you can download your Comcast, AOL, or Yahoo emails.
Additionally, Yahoo offers a fee-based service, Yahoo Plus, that will enable you to access your messages from other email accounts. Or, you can get the same capability for free by accessing your Yahoo mail from Windows Mail, Outlook, or Thunderbird.
