Brunch Bunch

Are you hungry after church? Want some stimulating conversation? We meet at nearby Stevens Hospital cafeteria where food choices are varied and no reservations are required. Most topics are open and are often a continuation of the tone set in Sunday’s sermon. We meet the second and fourth Sundays of each month at about noon. The cost is based on what you order. Contact: Virginia Miller

BrUUmasters

Conversations

Our conversation ranges from serious to silly. We discuss the books we have read, articles from the paper, jokes and cartoons, as well as what’s happening in members’ lives—of course, there’s always politics. Contact: Joyce Kolts

Dinner Out

Break bread with our group on the second and fourth Thursdays at a local low-key, low-cost restaurant. It’s a great way to get to know people, and there’s plenty of conviviality and conversation. Occasionally, we meet in someone’s home for a Dinner In—although we order take-out—so no one has to cook. Singles, couples, new friends and long-time members are most welcome. The cost is based on the food ordered. Contact: Candy James

Ethical Eating

Explore the implications of the way we eat. Possible topics include sustainable agriculture, nutrition, equity for farmers, world hunger, and how our food choices affect climate change. This is the topic of the Unitarian Universalist Association's Current Study/Action Item for 2008. Contact: Kathy Coffey and Cathy Ferbrache-Garrand
