Helping women who have survived war

Together we raised over $1400!

On Sunday, March 11 the people who attended our dinner and program generously donated over $1400 for Women for Women International which provides women survivors of war and civil strife with the tools and resources to move from crisis and poverty to stability and self-sufficiency. Their motto, “changing the world one woman at a time,” reflects A4W’s philosophy that far-reaching change is possible through steady, incremental effort.

The program features two speakers who will inform us about violence against women in countries at war:

o Deborah Bassett, Volunteer Ambassador for Women for Women
o Carolyn Scott Brown, Director of Learning Resources at Seattle’s FaithTrust Institute
