Jewelry with glass beads
Marlene VanBeek began making jewelry over twenty years ago. She works from her studio, near Bellingham, Washington. Many of her pieces are hand knotted, using a cording with open space between the beads. This look has become her signature work.
“I enjoy working with glass, mostly made in Austria, Italy and the Czech Republic. Glass is such a wonderful medium, the way it reflects light, and the colors around it. I look forward to searching for new beads, then challenge of creating pieces that will enhance their beauty.”
