During the April 2012 Congregational meeting, the members in attendance voted unanimously to take a stand in favor of justice and equity for GLBTQ people. Specifically, they voted to approve the following statement.
We work to promote acceptance, inclusion, understanding, and equity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, queer/questioning people (LGBTQ) of all ages, abilities, colors, and genders, both within our denomination and in society at large. We are committed to protecting the civil and legal rights of LGBTQ people and families across the country.
