Frequency of meetings

The Committee on Ministry (COM) will have regular monthly meetings with an agenda for each meeting that ensures that within the course of two years all major aspects of the congregation’s ministry will be reviewed. Additional meetings can be scheduled as needed or as called by the minister or the COM chair.

Keeping the minister informed 

If meetings are conducted without the minister present, the minister shall be advised of the purpose and substance of the meeting.

Confidentiality

At times committee meetings will need to be conducted as confidential sessions, signifying that all discussions within the meeting will be held in strict confidence.  The purpose of confidentiality is to facilitate the most expeditious means of reconciliation, resolution, or problem management as is possible and to do so in a manner that is least harmful and most enhancing to the congregation’s ministry.
